How to check restricted mode in YouTube

When you try to watch a video with YouTube, you may get the following alert:

"This video is unavailable with Restricted Mode enabled. To view this video, you will need to disable Restricted Mode."




Possible reason:

The video may be restricted by YouTube. 

YouTube's 'Restricted Mode' hides videos that may contain inappropriate content flagged by users and other signals. 

The restricted mode can be set to On/Off. 


  • Open YouTube
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page
  • Click on the "Restricted mode:" button.
  • Check the current settings, and upon need change settings to Off, Click on Save button.
