How to Block Adds and Pop Ups in a Browser

Description :

Advertisements & Pop-ups include sites that provide advertising graphics or other ad content files that appear on Web pages. Administrators may choose to block these as per the company's policy. 

Steps to follow :

  • Login to the CYREN WebSecurity Admin Console.
  • On the left side menu click POLICIES.
  • Navigate to the Policy Sets.
  • Select one of the existing predefined Policy Sets, or create a new policy set, see How to create a new policy.
  • Click on the policy to be modified, for example: Security.

  • Under the selected Policy Set, navigate to the Categories section, and click Security super-category:

  • Click on the Advertisements & Pop-Ups category to change it’s setting from Allowed to Blocked, and click Save to keep changes:

  • The updated settings will be displayed as follows:
