How to check if web browser cookies are enabled?

Description:

Follow the below guidelines, for the supported browsers, to verify that cookies are enabled. 

Internet Explorer (IE) - Block or allow cookies based on their type:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click the Tools button, and  then click Internet Options. 
  3. Open the Privacy tab, move the slider to the level of privacy that you want to set, and then click OK.

Microsoft Edge - block or allow cookies:

  1. Open Edge. 
  2. Click on the More button (3 dots icon) on the top right side of the browser, and chose the Settings. 
  3. Under the Settings click on View Advanced Settings.
  4. In the Cookies section, chose between the three options of handling cookies. 

Chrome - Enable or disable cookies:

  1. Open Chrome browser.
  2. Click on the Customize and control Google Chrome (2 lines icon) on the top right side of the browser, and chose the Settings. 
  3. Click on the Show Advanced Settings.
  4. Navigate to the Privacy section, and click on Content Settings.
  5. To enable cookies, select Allow local data to be set (recommended).
  6. To disable cookies, select Block sites from setting any data. 

Firefox - to enable cookies in Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox browser.
  2. Click on the Open Menu (3 lines icon) on the top right side of the browser and click on Options.
  3. Open the Privacy tab.
  4. Under the History section, set 'Firefox will:' to 'Use custom settings for history'. 
  5. Check the box next to 'Accept cookies from sites' to enable cookies. 
  6. Click OK.
