How to allow or deny access to a specific website

Description:

In cases where you wish to apply actions to a specific URL, for example, you may want to add your corporate URL to the Allow List; or, perhaps you are aware of a website that you would prefer your end-users not to visit, you can add the URL to a new or existing custom category in the Custom Categories section under Policy Sets.

 

Resolution:

  • Click Policies on the left pane and select the Policy Sets.

Policy sets

  • Under Recent Policy Sets, choose the Policy Set to which the specific URL will be added (this should be the policy which is used in the Protection rules).
  • Scroll down to Custom Categories and select Allow List or Block List, depending on the action you wish to take on the website. 
  • Enter the URL and click on + Add URL
    The added URL will now be listed:
