Can I renew up until the actual End of Life (EOL) date?

Unfortunately, renewals are no longer possible as we have now past our End of Sale (EOS) date. If it presents an issue to you, please feel free to reach out to support@cyren.com who may be able to assist.

 

Can you recommend an alternative AV product?

Unfortunately we are unable to recommend a direct replacement for the F-PROT AV Endpoint, however, if you are using Windows 8.1 or higher, uninstalling F-PROT will activate Windows Defender which provides AV protection.

Additionally, there are various review sites on the internet which suggest alternative AV endpoint solutions listing their pros and cons. Here are a few example sites:

My renewal is imminent.  This gives me no time to find an alternative and leave my PC vulnerable.

What's the difference between End of Sale (EOS) and End of Life (EOL)?

End of Sale (EOS) :  The point at which no further new sales or renewals can be ordered.  

End of Life (EOL) :  The point at which the support for the product and signature updates will cease being offered.
