Why are automatic updates for CSAM Enterprise failing?

If Galileo/CSAM Enterprise is installed in an environment other than a Windows domain, you may have to configure the updater to run as a local administrator.  If manual updating (opening CSAM and clicking "Update") is functioning correctly and automatic updates are failing, follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

Windows XP

Step 1.  Click "Start", select "Run" and type "tasks" and click "OK".

Step 2.  Right click "Authentium Updater" and select "Properties".

Step 3.  Change the "Run as:" field from "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" to the local administrator account.  Type in the following format:

Step 4.  Click "Set password" and enter the password twice.  Press OK.

Step 5.  Press "OK" on the "Authentium Updater" window to save your changes.

The automatic updates should now be functioning correctly.

Windows Vista and 7

Step 1.  Click the start menu and type "task" in the search box (directly above the start menu) and press enter.

Step 2.  Select "Task Scheduler Library" in the left pane.

Step 3.  Right click "Authentium Updater" and select "Properties".

Step 4.  Click "Change User or Group".

Step 5.  Type the username in the format computername\username and click "Check name".  Press OK.

Step 6.  Press OK to close the task.

Step 7.  Enter password when prompted.

The automatic updates should now be functioning correctly.
