Unable to load safe mode.

When I try to start my computer in Safe Mode in Windows XP, the options menu does not appear. What should I do?

If you are unable to access the Advanced Startup Options menu by holding the F8 key on startup, you can configure Windows XP to load in safe mode automatically whenever it starts.

1. Click the Start button, and then select Run.
2. In the Open text box, type: msconfig
3. Click OK.
4. Select the BOOT.INI tab.
5. Place a check in the /SAFEBOOT check box. Restart the computer.

Important: To start Windows XP normally again, clear this check box before restarting.
