Question

How do I fix the database access error?

 Answer

Step 1: Browse to the following location.

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Commtouch\CSAM5\Results\cleanup\

Vista / 7 / 8: C:\ProgramData\Commtouch\CSAM5\Results\cleanup\

Step 2: Hidden files and folders need to be enabled.

XP: Open Windows Explorer click on Tools select Folder Options then click on View. Choose the option: Show hidden files and folders, click Apply then OK.

Vista / 7 / 8: Open Windows Explorer press the Alt key to show this menu. Choose the option: Show hidden files and folders, click Apply then OK.

Step 3: Copy the two files csav5_db.dsn and csav5_db.mdb and paste them on folder up, i.e. in the following location (overwrite the existing files):

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Commtouch\CSAM5\Results\

Vista / 7 / 8: C:\ProgramData\Commtouch\CSAM5\Results\

Step 4: Reboot machine.

Note: If the issue persists, try reinstalling Command Anti-Malware.
